Zurich Singapore Announces Appointment of Matt Graves as Chief Claims Officer

Singapore, May 27, 2024 – Zurich Insurance Company (Singapore) Ltd. (“Zurich Singapore”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Graves as Chief Claims Officer. Reporting directly to Liam Burrell, CEO Singapore and Head of Commercial Insurance Asia, Mr. Graves will have enterprise-wide responsibilities for all claims functions across Zurich Singapore’s Commercial and newly launched Retail segment.  

Mr. Graves has over two decades of experience in the insurance industry spanning roles with Allianz, Suncorp, and Zurich with a particular focus on claims management. He joined Zurich in 2016 as the Team Leader for the Major Loss Property team (Australia) and most recently led the Short-Tail Lines Claims business for Singapore, overseeing all property, global energy, construction, and marine teams regionally. 

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Burrell said: “I am pleased to have a seasoned claims executive of Matt’s caliber take on this critical role. In his new role, Mr. Graves will join Zurich Singapore’s Executive Committee, driving best-in-class, innovative claims solutions in close collaboration with our customers and partners across the region, and ensuring a better, faster, and simpler end-to-end claims experience.
