Zurich Insurance and ComfortDelGro announce strategic partnership to launch exclusive travel insurance offering

Singapore, 6 January 2025 – Zurich Insurance Company (Singapore) Ltd. (“Zurich Singapore”) is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited (SGX:C52) (“ComfortDelGro”), a leading multi-modal, global transport operator. This collaboration will introduce an exclusive travel insurance product, ‘Zurich Travel Comfort’, made available through ComfortDelGro's ride-hailing app, CDG Zig, and is part of the Zurich Edge strategy designing unique digital offerings for Zurich’s partners.

 

The partnership with CDG Zig underscores Zurich’s commitment to delivering exceptional value and convenience to customers. CDG Zig currently has more than 1 million monthly active users and a total unique user population of over 2 million. Zurich aims to provide peace of mind to CDG Zig travellers, ensuring they are well-protected throughout their journeys. With a strong demand for booked trips to/from Changi Airport each day, the app will now enable users to purchase comprehensive single trip Zurich travel insurance for both individuals and groups through a full end-to-end digital journey with ease.

 

Exclusive Features of Zurich Travel Comfort:

  • Extra peace of mind to book trips to Changi airport: Unique to this partnership, customers are covered pre-trip when they take a ride booked via CDG Zig app. If travel disruptions are experienced due to the trip’s vehicle breakdown enroute to Changi Airport, the policy reimburses up to SGD1,000 for customers to cover additional accommodation or travel expenses.  
  • Complimentary CDG Zig promo code upon purchase: As a launch special customers will receive a SGD5.00 CDG Zig promo code with any policy purchase of SGD15.00 and above on the CDG Zig app, promotion valid until fully redeemed.
