Plans and coverage
This means any medical conditions for which the Insured Person:
Received medical treatment, diagnosis, consultation or prescribed drugs within a 12-month period preceding the journey of the Insured Person in this Policy, with the exception of congenital anomalies which will be considered as permanent exclusion under our policy wording.
Your baggage and personal belongings are covered for loss due to theft, robbery, burglary or for accidental damage.
Any claim for loss or accidental damage while under the custody, care or control of a transport or accommodation provider must first be made against the provider. Please note that we require a document issued by the provider that your claim has been rejected or been partially paid.
For benefits that are on reimbursement basis (i.e. medical expenses), if the benefit limit has been fully exhausted from the policy, you can claim the balance amount under the other policies covering the same accident.
In the event the benefit limit is not exceeded, you are unable to claim from another insurance policy.
For non-reimbursement benefits, you can claim from multiple insurers.
Insurance applies for journeys that begin within the period of Insurance.
Insurance cover for travel cancellation benefits starts from the date your journey is booked or 60 days before your journey starts (whichever is later). Please note that if you purchase this insurance less than 3 days before your journey starts, this benefit is not available.
If the travel advisory strongly advises against travelling to a specific place is issued before you purchase the policy, you are not covered. If after you purchase your policy, the circumstances in that country change leading to the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s travel notice, you are covered because such circumstances are unforeseen.
Please call us at our Customer Service Hotline +65 6260 0126 (9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays) and we will assess the situation and advise on the next steps.
